MIT R&D Zuid-Holland 2019 & 2023

In 2019, Absolute Audio Labs (AAL, https://absoluteaudiolabs.com) and Golden Hearing joined forces to develop the first version of Golden Booster. In this project, Golden Hearing provided the proof of principle for AM boosting, boosting of amplitude modulation. AAL provided the implementation of the algorithm on their PYOUR audio platform. The project was awarded a grant from the Province of Zuid-Holland for R&D cooperation between SME’s. After the project, AAL and Golden Hearing have continued to cooperate and have been looking for new joint R&D and market opportunities since.

Kansen voor west 2023

End of 2023, we kicked off a new project. In this project, we cooperate with Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC, https://lumc.nl). Focus of the project is the validation of the A.M. booster on various audio devices (earbuds, headphones and even cochlear implants). Also, the proof of principle for F.M. (frequency modulation) will be delivered. Finally, the cooperation concerns validation of our GHMPT and music perception tests. The project is subsidized by the Kansen voor West 3 programme, which is part of the European Fund for Regional Development. The project will last until the end of 2025. After carrying out the project, we will have overcome all technical and commercial barriers we now foresee and enter the market.
